What if I don’t have a car or cleaning supplies?

A car is required to work with Traveling Maids. As an independent contractor, you’ll provide your cleaning equipment and supplies. That said, some clients may request that you use their products; we’ll always let you know in advance if that’s the case.

Do I need professional cleaning experience?

Yes. We require a minimum of 2 years of professional home cleaning experience; this includes working with another cleaning company, a housekeeping service, or a solo cleaning business. We’re looking for reliable, detail-oriented professionals who take pride in their work, manage their time well, and consistently deliver high-quality results.

How and when do I get paid?

You’ll be paid weekly via Zelle for all completed cleanings. Payments are processed every week to keep your income consistent and predictable.

Do you provide support?

Absolutely. If you’re locked out, have an emergency, or need help with a client, our operations team can assist you. You’re never on your own.

Are independent cleaners background-checked before being referred?

Because our cleaning professionals are referred to work in private residences and around personal property, we will conduct a background screening as part of our contractor vetting process. This screening helps ensure safety and trust for both clients and professionals.

Will I get recurring clients?

Yes. If a client books recurring cleanings and you were their first cleaner, and they’re happy with your service, you’ll be their assigned cleaning technician.

Are there bonuses or incentives?
